This is the debut release by Geneva-based electronic artist Weith. On this self-titled EP, the Swiss producer combines atmospheric ambient influences with instrumental electronic hip-hop in the vein of Boards of Canada or QPE. The result is a sombre, melodic and at times cinematic work, richly produced and featuring on 'Eightfold Path' the brooding vocals of rapper & actor Keith Stanfield, known for films such as Short Term 12 and as one half of the duo Moors.
The physical format of this release consists of a white CD housed within a hand-made white 160gsm paper inner sleeve. The outer sleeve is 100% recycled card, with a hand-printed lino image on the rear side. Release information on recycled paper insert adhered to inner sleeve.
All music written and composed by Juravle Sergiu
